Keep the Goals Rolling into February

Did you make fitness goals for 2020? Have you set yourself up for success? Now that we are in February, have you lost some of your motivation? There’s a lot of research out there on sticking to and accomplishing resolutions. Whether you’re new to fitness or an experienced athlete, we’re here to help! Here are our tips:

Break it into smaller goals

It’s important to make sure your resolutions are manageable. Give yourself smaller, less daunting goals. You have to run 400m to get to a mile. These smaller goals still need to be defined enough so that you can check them off (e.g. workout 3 days a week or spend 10 minutes before/after class working on a skill). Crossing them off will help keep track of your progress, will keep you motivated, and will give you more to celebrate throughout the year.

Share your experience

Talk about it! With your friends, family, and fitness community. Sharing experiences with those who care about you or have similar goals will make your journey less intimidating. Ask a coach for help – don’t hesitate to ask for a form check or extra tips to help you crush a skill. Our coaches love cheering our members on!
